Dr. Karen Schiltz is one of the most comprehensive, thorough, and skilled neuropsychologists in California! Dr. Schiltz's ability to help her patients take the information presented through the assessment and recommend specific interventions and providers is unparalleled. Dr. Schiltz goes above and beyond doing "just" an assessment by clearly outlining next steps.  As a colleague, Dr. Schiltz is exceptional in her ability to specifically tailor her referrals to those providers whom she knows are a great fit!  Her detailed reports are a critical piece in formulating a treatment plan for her patients after the assessment.  Collaborating with Dr. Schiltz is an absolute pleasure.

As an educator for more than 15 years, I am grateful to have GSN in our Conejo Valley community. Children, teens, their parents, and educational stakeholders (i.e., schools, tutors, ed therapists, and medical care teams) deserve accurate data, clarity, and comfort in knowing the "road map" that will provide the following steps to fulfill an individual's best potential.

I have collaborated closely with the professionals at GSN for more than ten years as a learning specialist at an elite independent school, using the comprehensive "road map" known as an assessment to support student growth effectively. Additionally, I provide structured support for neurodiverse college-bound students in my private practice, at catiechase.com, for college readiness and a healthy approach to college admissions and placement.

GSN delivers quality care every time I have worked with the psychologists, therapists, and staff who work endlessly to do what is evidence-based, thoughtful, and highly responsive for each individualized case. My students often share their experiences of how they felt heard, supported, and seen as a person first. Connecting with fur friends like Milo, Romeo, and the gorgeous fish tank with hues of blue in the waiting room makes them feel secure and at ease within a safe and secure space.

The assessment experience is in-depth, with no stone unturned to truly hone in on understanding the individual. The feedback is direct and strategic to begin the personal journey of understanding the complexities of one's unique learning or medical profile to begin treatment and intervention immediately. I am a parent of two, and there is nothing more challenging than parenthood. To add a learning profile, medical condition, or unique circumstances that may impact a child or teen's development or social-emotional and academic growth, I know how critical it is to work with the right team for standard care and the best treatment for today's modern world.

In my profession, I have read over thousands of neuropsychological reports from across the city of Los Angeles and out-of-state, and nothing has yet to compare to the quality of GSN assessments and quality of care.

My name is Gwen Campbell, I’m a Special Education Advocate working with students ages 3-21 in this region for 20 plus years. I have worked with and referred to Golden State Neuropsychology (GSN), specifically with Dr. Schiltz and the Practice Manager Scott Mellor for this length of time.
They have always operated to highest professionalism and ethical behavior with the clients that we have had in common. Mr. Mellor is kind, relates well to parents, and is methodical in his approach when taking care of administrative matters. In addition, Dr. Schiltz is a passionate, seasoned, and cutting-edge neuropsychologist who takes great pride in her work and relationships with providers, educators, parents, and children. Dr. Schiltz has always provided a trove of information for parents and others who care for children with emotional, learning, and communication problems. Bottom line, she has helped children thrive!

I've had the pleasure of working with Dr. Karen Schiltz in the professional community since 2002. She is caring, ethical, and a highly qualified expert in her field who consistently demonstrates a deep level of compassion for all her patients and their families. Her comprehensive reports consisting of testing data and clinical impressions, as well as recommended interventions and suggested accommodations, provides families with a roadmap to assist them in obtaining the help they so desperately need. So many of the families I have worked with are grateful to Dr. Schiltz for her encouragement and reassurance that improvement is possible with a brighter future ahead.

My interaction with her office manager Scott has always been positive. He is warm, welcoming, and ready to assist me with answering my questions and quickly forwarding information at the approval of the family. Many of the children and young adults referred to me often expressed how relaxed they felt in their office, especially with the therapy dogs who are gentle and loving.

Dr. Karen Schiltz is highly regarded for her integrity and commitment to excellence, working tirelessly to provide the highest level of care. Based on my wonderful nineteen-year relationship with this clinical private practice, I confidently recommend Golden State Neuropsychology for clinical neuropsychological assessments and treatment.
